Looks nice does that Hope you enjoy!

We bought a VW campervan, (couldn't decide between a camper or caravan), when our son, Daniel, was 6 and we've had so much fun in it over the years. Been to every corner of the UK and done most of the Scottish Islands in it. So many memories have been made and hopefully they'll stay with Daniel for the rest of his days. We've still got the camper but not used it for a couple of years for various reasons, trouble is, we've enjoyed it that much, we can't bear to part with it

Hope you enjoy your caravan as much as we have our campervan

Confirmed we are collecting it on Friday, gives us the weekend to go through it and find out what's broke or not.

I was asked how long it was earlier as it was assumed that it was about 15' long. It is in fact 23' long!

I will try and get a photo of it all when I pick it up.

We had one of those world famous twin axle Hobby caravans, that was a massive 8ft wide and a whopping 28ft in length We eventually sold that as it was way to big, and we purchased a 21ft Bailey, which I now think its too small.

You can only legally tow a Hobby caravan with a commercial vehicle!

Popping out to Primark one day, and somehow buying a Hobby 620 caravan was something I did not plan.

Couple of pointers Rich,

First make sure your towball is correct one for that type of hitch

Second, with that type of hitch, never Grease the towball

If possible at the earliest point, book it in for a service, including Gas, water and Mains check (usually between £100 - £150) use a reputable company try to avoid Mobile Fitters

Make sure you get the CRis registration transferred over into your name, if it is registered to the current keeper, he should have the certificate with a transfer section.... (usually costs around £12)

If looking for Caravan Insurance, choose a reputable company ( I use Caravan Guard)

Finally remember the law says when you are towing, your speed limit is reduced by 10mph so on Dual Carriageways with a 60mph, you are 50mph on a Motorway with 70mph you are 60mph (and because your limit is reduced you are restricted to not using the outside lane (if more than 2 lanes)

(Any vehicle that is restricted to less than 70mph is not permitted in the outside lane of a Motorway where the Motorway has more than 2 lanes, this includes vehicles fitted with a speed restrictor of less than 70mph or any vehicle towing a trailer)

Thanks kc

I have done as much reading as possible, things have changed a lot since my last go 9 years ago.

The cris registration is in the first owners name as the current owner was not fussed about it. First owner has left the country, but apparently it is not a problem to get it changed into mine as it has no outstanding finance or other markers.
