I've replaced all hoses on mine with rubber-lined silicone items. Many of mine had gone porous or had been chafed.

Possibly, certainly that's what we used to do in the old days, but the pipework is more complicated on some of our cars and it would probably look a bit messy.

Many thanks, I have just looked at the link and am amazed at the 'stuff' they do. It appears that you would have to make up the hoses from pipe and bends; is that what you did, or do they list pre-made hose kits?

There have been some interesting comments on this subject, so thank you to all that responded. My personal conclusion is that we could be entering a period of rubber hose deterioration on our R40s, therefore I shall replace with the best available (probably silicone), in the near future, unless I am forced to do so earlier, due to a failure.
