Default Sad day today

Today we had to lay to rest the Missus's father (Bill Speirs), he was 92 and passed away after a year of ill health.
He was very active up until we lost Mum two years ago, walking about 12 miles every day, yes 12 miles.
He was a member of the lodge (497) and had just received his 70 year diploma last month. He raised hundreds of £'s every year selling raffle tickets for our Christmas draw with his last collection in 2013 raising £650.

It's been a bit difficult time for the Missus keeping up work commitments and looking after Dad during the last two years since Mum passed. She retired finally for the 3rd time working her last shift just five days before losing her Father.
Life goes on so all we have is the fond memories of two people who have figured very much in our lives.

Ah Jim Jim Jim.

Condolences to your family.

Thinking of you and your family Jim, been through it, lost my parents a couple of years ago and my wife's father passed away just before Christmas.
