Shocking !
Negotiation is one thing, but really! Phil T-4 is fully insured, he has invested time, skills and total dedication to the systems used by the T4 guys on here. They also have invested heavily in time learning and equipment. Phil is fully insured and gives a run down of how the engine is running, and recommendations of making engines more efficient and better power delivery. I don't know the other T4 guys really, but guess they are all good guys. We also need to consider that some run this as a business, thus giving trade skills away is non-conducive to conventional business acumen. Not sure what type of backlash may come from this, but get ready for it as I know Brian may well come over with a small measure of sarcasm (He is good at this) I guess Phil will just chukkle to himself and the other guys, well lets wait and see. The cost for the useable benefits is great value for money with an audience of highly satisfied members across the globe. I would re-consider your post, and maybe keep the discount view for an audience maybe at an auction room or Ebay where bidding is accepted manner of trading. |

A huge amount of work went in to this, so you are very wrong! There are guys selling a T4 on ebay, if you buy it for £50 you can do it yourself cant you! No you cant. The software has been taylor made for the m47r engine. Good luck with a cheap remap, interested to hear how good it is, and what was recommended in as far as engine reliability and health with checks made to various components performance. |

About 18 months ago, the clutch went on my tourer when I was on holiday and I spent 2/3rds of the price I paid for the car 2 years previous. The value of the car has no part of the price of bits etc. Would you go into a garage to have work done, then complain about what they charge to do work????

I know of a T4 operator within this club,he told me how much he paid for the equipment,it was purchased from a Rover dealer after the company went bust. New it would have cost£15k, he still paid thousands for it,but as has been said, its not the cost of the equipment, its how its used.
There are likely be plenty of people who know the basics of its operation, but if something goes desperately wrong, would they be able to overcome it?? Anyone can turn a car into a brick,it takes someone who knows what they are doing to "unbrick " it. Good luck to your friend whatever he decides, but if it goes pear shaped,I doubt there will be much offer of help from the t4 guys on here.
