UPDATE. Went to try the re-sync advice given, however before I did thought I would try keyfobs again.
Darn thing opened the car. Both key fobs opened the car!. Very strange! Thankfull of course, but totally confused as too why it/they are now working |

I reckon he only thing that can work, not work, then work again without any remedial work is an intermittent receiver problem, there is a very good chance it may happen again or fail completely. I would look at it pro actively and at least unplug the receiver and plug it back in again to omit a connection problem should it happen again.
