I think the one thing that would make my mind up even if they were both equal in quality and comforts is the £4500.00 versus £1100.00 - Where's the competition...???!

NB. Using figures in Post #5.

Just a comparison based on the two cars I look after/drive - even if you decide they are matched, you can buy two diesel Rovers for the price of 1 diesel Jag

While some items may be service items, I wouldn't consider brake callipers at 60k miles, 4 door lock actuators as service items - they should last much much longer

Agreed previous treatment has a big impact on a second hand car, which is why I would have expected the Jag with a couple of owners and Jag history to be better than the Rover with no history and I'm owner 7 or 8 on it

A few people have corrosion issues on 75's but the posting on here is nowhere close to that on Jag forums for the corrosion problems with Xtypes

Default Rover for X type Jaguar.

Hi All.
First of all 'Thank You' ALL for your answers to my original question, after reading the replies that I have received and doing some digging of my own. I have decided that I will be keeping my Diesel Connie. at 120,000 miles she is purring along, and with my remap she pulls my large caravan with no problems at all. so I may as well keep her. I know for a fact that if I sold her as soon as she pulled away I would miss her. IMAG0136.jpg
