David, trace back your last couple of weeks regarding your buying behaviour when shopping online, even your selling activity, even if you have sold something on Gumtree.

Ebay and Gumtree are where these fraud organisations start, we all make it way to easy for them. Checkout us now, leaving our footprint all over this forum. Unknowingly giving out information that could be used to identify us, they build a profile of information gathered across social media sites.

emails are easily available to anyone, Gumtree now filter your email address through their server. Paypal make it way to easy to send and receive money via one email address.

Dave, you didn't have your PayPal password set as 'Lord Rover' did you? This is how all these organisations watch and learn from us all on these social media forums.

Oh god no my password has nothing to do with my user it was a mixture of German and British words combined to make a completely no sense at all word.

Wouldn't make anything that easy not a chance.

Also with numbers and lower and higher case letters.

I use PayPal on a regular basis especially through ebay. never had a problem but feel anxiety and paranoia beginning to unfold

It's a growing crime and last year we got a call from my wife's credit card company asking to verify a transaction being made online in London for a couple hundred worth of clothes we of coarse say it's not us.
Transaction was cancelled and the fraud team involved to investigate.
We asked about contacting the police as surely they could recover the delivery details etc from the failed transaction there reply was that they wouldn't be interested as most likely a post box or empty warehouse.
Where the scammers would pick the stuff from sorting office at a later date.

Oh for god sakes keeping getting calls off this number now.

020 8610 0150 claiming to be paypal.
So far I've haven't answered them as they told me last week that it was getting sorted.

Been bombard with emails, but its strange the links don't have paypal on them but a Yahoo links at the bottom.

Do you reckon its other scam to get money out of me.?

It has to be can't paypal can't it?
Its always the same voice and never a different person, as paypal have tons of staff and yet only the same person talks.

Phoned paypal again and they confirmed its is a paypal number.

No longer a problem as they confirmed and resetting my paypal balance.
