![]() Gerry made mine out of steel, as it was a bit of an experiment. If yours is stainless steel, I will buy it off you as you don't need it now

![]() The early 1.8Turbos didn't have the T-piece until the introduction of the PRT system (Pressure Relief Thermostat). Prior to this (Second half of 2003 as far as I can determine), these engines (including the 1.8NA) had the standard thermostat. This was leading to high heat soak effects and they started fitting the PRT to resolve it. I guess your non-T'd 1.8Turbo is an early 2003 registration?
The 1.8NA with the PRT doesn't have the small bore feed to the turbocharger, so there are two Gerry-T models. Here's the turbo one (except this is a modified design with a threaded boss at the top for fitting a coolant level sensor.): ![]() TC Last edited by T-Cut; 5th October 2009 at 13:57.. |

![]() Stevemac it is stainless steel and you can have first chance at it if I don't need it. This is bizarre though why has my engine not got one? Perhaps someone previous has done a different sort of mod? No idea but I hope someone comes along who can help further.
