As far as I know, and I am NO expert, all 1.8t are the same. Mine is a 04 reg. As I understand it even the NA 1.8 has a T piece, just no smaller pipe going to the turbo.
When you can post a photo taken between the rad and the exhaust outlet for everyone to see.

OK, maybe the engine has changed and I stand corrected . On the plus side the T piece is a weak spot for leaks (and I don't mean the welsh type) So if you haven't got one you don't need to worry.

I'm intigrued now & have a new shiny T ready for fitting. When I get home I'll post some pics I've just taken. It must be the Welsh version

I've got a headache now been in & out to my car lifting and shutting the bonnet with a glazed look over my face. I'm sure someone will be along and throw some light on it, but I do appreciate your efforts Stevemac.

T-Cut any ideas

Thanks for pic generalkelly & that is what I am looking for but I don't have it. My pipe there is solid no join?

Gerry made mine out of steel, as it was a bit of an experiment. If yours is stainless steel, I will buy it off you as you don't need it now

The early 1.8Turbos didn't have the T-piece until the introduction of the PRT system (Pressure Relief Thermostat). Prior to this (Second half of 2003 as far as I can determine), these engines (including the 1.8NA) had the standard thermostat. This was leading to high heat soak effects and they started fitting the PRT to resolve it. I guess your non-T'd 1.8Turbo is an early 2003 registration?

The 1.8NA with the PRT doesn't have the small bore feed to the turbocharger, so there are two Gerry-T models. Here's the turbo one (except this is a modified design with a threaded boss at the top for fitting a coolant level sensor.):

Stevemac it is stainless steel and you can have first chance at it if I don't need it. This is bizarre though why has my engine not got one? Perhaps someone previous has done a different sort of mod? No idea but I hope someone comes along who can help further.

Looks like T-Cut has nailed that one.
