Most Strange...........

Well....they would say that wouldn't they. Having spent so much time, money and effort to ship the production line to China SAIC are not going to bin it all and rejig everything, surely. Once they start to sell them in Europe we can get our grubby mits on one and find out what goodies we can transplant.

I can't wait.

D.
From memory XPart's comments are largely correct. SAIC spent a lot of time / money making changes to the car far beyond the sheet metal alterations and a restyled interior.

I know its because they waiting for the patient to become brain dead before using the corpse.

I agree I love the shape and the slight up dates (minus the rear lights). But I would struggle out of principle to buy it if it was released in this country. But more than happy to take bits from it for my cars. The wide screen looks quiet nice.

Its still a good looking thing... timeless design, updated by only minor changes (still not sure about the rear).

I'd like to see what the NAC/Roewe tie up produces though, i feel Roewe embraced the Rover idea but NAC over Rover-ised the MG brand. Now they're working together surely we could get back to something similar to the old MGR set up... or am i being too sentimental (or just mental!)

The last sold ordered 75 Tourer. Paid for by the Phoenix Four and handed over by John Towers to the Warwickshire Northampton Air ambulance service as a Rapid Response vehicle

Default despair

What is really, really mind-boggling amazing is that a British government could ever ever let something so gorgeous go to the wall, get picked up at a snip, manufactured abroad and then sold back to us all - and get away with the line that it was not commercially viable to save Rover.
Sorry, but it still winds me up ! AAARRGH !!!!!!
Have owned 6 Rovers - 216, SDI,800,827,800 turbo coupe and now my precious 75 - every one has been a beaut !

PS - do you think they will manufacture the door upright trims ? I'm desperately looking for an OS/F driver door upright door finisher - mine all need replacing and I've raided e-bay for the other 3, but can't find a new one for my door.

looks nice, dont like the back end though looks like the lights were taken from a kia, dash looks too flat and high for me, maybe it will look better in the flesh interiors are hard to see properly from images/pics, all in all though looks good even if it isn't that different from the 75 only a few tweaks here and there

Agree about the back end - the pre-facelift backend was perfection IMO - more jaguar than the Jaguar. But love the interior -seats look good and I'll take that new Sat Nav...
