Will look forward to hearing how you get on with it, Steve.

We've currently got a Ventura Cadet which we put up if away for more than weekend. It's a breeze to put together with carbon fibre poles and ideal for just the two of us.

Seems more people are investing in the air awnings, so may consider it ourselves later on this year.

I was always very wary of Porch Awnings that had the poles that butted up to the caravan wall. Reason being one windy night a friend came back from the clubhouse to find one of the poles had come loose and then "chattered" against the wall of the caravan and actually made a hole as well as lots of dents.

We then used the Porch Awning type where you had a large upturned "U" shaped pole that ran in the front wall of the awning and was pulled away from the caravan by the guy ropes. So no poles pointing at the caravan wall.

But - I think these new inflatable awnings are probably an excellent compromise. Do they wobble about a lot in windy conditions?

Blimey - it's even the same colour as mine!
Angela is worried whether there is any chance of damage to the inflatable tubes where they touch the ground at the front - when we're on a gravel/hardstanding pitch.
Do you see that as likely?
I do have the remains of a full size awning breathable carpet which I could cut some protectors out of if necessary.
