Dave solved it rather neatly for me. Just one or two minor hiccups to solve, but you are right about the boss eyed

Thanks very for your efforts, but it was much more complicated than that.

I needed something able to accept all of the data from a weekly timesheet - basic hours; 1.5x hours; 2x hours; On Call charge; Trav & Park; and finally other Expenses; then be able to compare the entire months worth of timesheets against an as paid monthly salary slip. Then keep a running total of the error at the end of each month.

My quick manual comparison with only 50% of the timesheet data filled in, is so far suggesting that around 4 out of five of the entries from my monthly payslips are wrong. I was never able to make any sense of them in three years and no one else could, hence the need for a spreadsheet to try to sort out the mess.
