Someone mentioned 225-50-17 tyres make a lot of difference.

I have gone back to my 15 inch wheels for this exact reason, harsh ride on low profiles does not suit the 75 imho.

The calculation gives an increase wall height of 6mm but the uncertainty is how much diff this really makes for the extra cost.
I tow with mine so for me the bigger the footprint the better, for stability. I am thinking that money would be better spent on higher quality low noise, I inherited my 'mixed bag' and road noise is very noticeable. 225/50's would make an 11.5 mm diff to wall height but I haven't done calcs to see effect on speedo, suspect it may show up reading slow.
