There already is one. Including how to get the climate control working in tandem to heat up the cabin.

I was looking at a telestart because I thought that would be the most straightforward to fit, that is if anything is straightforward.

Now that I've got my fbh working, it seems a bit of a waste if it only comes on when I start the car and the temperature is sub zero.
You do realise that even with the remote or timer, it only fires up the FBH to warm the engine. It doesn't warm the interior by turning on the climate control. I didn't realise.... That's a whole new project for me now...

My 5 series has one of these fitted. warms up the car if the outisde temp is below 5 deg. Other than that a telestart is also needed to activate it but it will then warm the car through the HVAC..

As I found 1/2 inch of water in my rear footwell yesterday, a parking heater woudl have been handy to dry it out.........

Well... would you believe it?

I've spent quite some time looking for it but cannot find it.

However, I have it saved on my PC so if you want me to e-mail it to you, PM me with your e-mail address

This is currently on fleabay Germany: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Webasto-Fernbe...item2a02a5ca72

I think this is the complete kit. If not could someone please let me know. I know that maximum bids are a personal preference, but could someone give me an idea as to the likely level of bid it's may go for. I won't hold it against you if you're wrong , I just don't want to bid double what it's worth.

There is also this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Golf-V-Weba...item518e38b0b8

I assume that despite the VW logo, it would be compatible with our Thermotops. However, although there seem to be plenty of suitable antennae on ebay, the wiring looms don't seem to be sold separately.

The first one says it's complete and tested on his test rig (see picture two).

looks complete too, with transmitter, receiver, antenna and cables. The relays to do the full works (switch on the ATC panel) are never included, but that would give you remote startup of the heater itself.

The second one is less likely to work. I know some VW ones use W bus, not hardwired, so this one being for a fairly modern golf (Mk5) is likely to be one of those.
