You need to get the car on a diagnostic machine to take out the guesswork, could be a failing underbonnet pump or injector leakback.

If there's a spark it's a miracle as it's a diesel.

Will fire up on easy start if neither of these is working.---

i am not sure if its related but my drivers window switch now does not work, from the same time.
Don't play about with any of the pipes that go to the injectors. The fuel pressure is very, very high. The diesel can penetrate your skin and kill you.---

If your fuel level was very low then 15 litres of diesel is nowhere near enough if your in-tank pump has stopped working.--Could very easily be not enough fuel in the tank.--

this is a Diesel. Does not have or need any spark.

Default thank you

i have ordered a new can sensor, i did a quick leak back test, but taking the fuel line of the injectors placing them in a coke bottle and turned the engine, fuel came out the pipes in to the coke bottle so i know fuel is getting to the injectors.
no fuel came back through the top of the injectors, so i assume the injectors are ok.
i will fit the cam sensor once it gets here and let you guys know how it goes

the fuel is going through the fuel filter as when i disconnect it, and switch ignition on, fuel squirts clean out of the car, and fuel is getting too the injectors, so i can not see it being a fuel pump of any kind

Maybe the infamous "Injector Leak Back"..:shrug Do a proper test, not just the fuel flow from the UBP.

Also when I had a non starting Diesel it was the small "O" ring seal on the HP regulator on the rear of the HP pump
