My mate who lives in Aberdeen drove up to see it with cash in his pocket. His view was it looked better in the pictures and the guy who is selling it reckoned there was no discount as it would sell at that price. He didn't even bother taking it for a test drive.

I know what he means as it does look better in the pictures. There's just something about the car that doesn't appeal to me and I can't put my finger on it

My mate reckoned it looked like it had been well valeted to hide how tired it was.

If it was a goodun it would have sold by now, cars don't sell for 2 reasons. There condition or price. I think if the price was more realistic it would have gone by now.

The other problem is its location, if it was 400 miles South it would have had a lot more people likely to take a chance. I know when I go up that way it is a good 8 hours with no traffic. To take a flight up and then find it is no good is a bit more of a risk than most people want to take.

260s don't come up that often and if you are after one you need to be prepared to travel. I went down to darkest Yorkshire for mine, twice! Once for the test drive and again to collect her.

Take a good look underneath and you'll see how tired it is but perhaps I'm being too critical

Indeed I did over 500 for mine, in fact looking for one I probably did about another 1500 but it was worth it.

As it has probably now sold somebody has taken the plunge. I hope they are happy with it.
