I don't think that 1.8t manuals are far behind that figure either. Had a bit of a job finding one ourselves. As for performance and 'load lugging' well you don't have to pile a pair of washing machines into the back. It's just nice to be able to take the dog in the back and keep the rear seats clean. Or load up with camping gear (and dog) easily without getting stuck trying to put the windbreak in (wider/longer than the saloon boot). Performance is quite acceptable (when I remember it's not a diesel 160!) .
