Right here we go.....
Up to 4D 307060, all ZT's were fitted with UKJ000090PMA which has a white insert.... From 307061, cars were fitted with a different gear selector, and as such the knob changed to UKJ000340PMA and then to UKJ000440PMA, the VIN change for the different knobs was 348726 and have a black insert. .......so you should from your VIN be able to identify which lever assembly your car was fitted with in the factory. However, if at some point the car had a selector problem, there is a good chance the assembly was changed, then there is a chance that the later assembly was used, and hence a later knob was fitted.

So providing my car hasn't had a selector problem I'm looking for a NEW (if possible) UKJ000340PMA Sports leather & chrome gear knob. But looking at Rimmer Bros web site it looks like the 340 is no longer available and they state to use the 440PMA instead. |

Peter There's a good chance that your car was made up with the leftover bits they could find....and yours happened to get an early selector

Bump.
Still looking for a gear knob if anyone can help. My gear stick does not have a sleeve over it, just a flat on the passenger side. I'm not sure if I should have a sleeve or not So could also be looking for a plastic sleeve aswell |
