Android phones can quite easily be unlocked by a code from your service provider....just call them and they will provide it to you, free of charge.you just type it in and hey presto ,

Did this with my Sony Xperia last year which was on O2

Hi Bill,
I have just rung HTC on the number that you quoted and although they were very pleasant enough they said the phone is branded to T-Mobile and there is nothing Ii can do about it.

The issue you have is the network has customized the factory software on the device by changing the splash screen (the bit that shows when you turn it on).

Restoring to factory settings will NOT fix the issue, it will simply restore a "clean" version of the software - again the customized version that the network put on there

My recommendation would be to give HTC a call. The only other way is to flash a vanilla version of the software onto the device, which can easily go wrong.

Hi,
Thanks for that advice, however I have already spoken to HTC and they say they can't help.

Bearing in my that HTC say they are unable to help, where else would I be able to get the software to flash the phone?
Regards
Tom
