Engine Management Fault

Well i've managed to get the car up on Kwik-Fits ramps (a friend works there) and found the offending sensor!! It looks like it was poorly fitted, either when re-newed or when the exhaust was messed around with! The cables coming off it have wedged themselves between 2 heat-shields and have inevitably had 2 cables cut, hence it's not working properly anymore!! So i'm aiming at getting the car up on ramps again tomorrow and get the sensor off. I'm going to crimps the cables back together (as i am an electrician) and hope for the best! If this doesn't work then a new sensor will be called for!!!!

Solder 1st? - lots heat and vibration?
