Advice please, prior to fitting the new vis motors my engine was idling somewhere between 800 - 900 revs and steady.
Since changing the balance vis it is now idling at approx 1100 revs and acceleration is a lot more snatchy. Is this normal?  Tom

air leak
sounds like the balance valve seal is leaking try taking it off and check the seal

Have you ever felt like an idiot? Took the balance vis out and sure enough I had left the seal in the old motor. Thought I'd better check the power vis and you've guessed exactly the same. All running fine now. Tom
