Unfortunately still awaiting delivery of a new replacement for the faulty balance vis.

Balance VIS now fitted, what a difference a day makes.

Advice please, prior to fitting the new vis motors my engine was idling somewhere between 800 - 900 revs and steady.

Since changing the balance vis it is now idling at approx 1100 revs and acceleration is a lot more snatchy.

Is this normal?

sounds like the balance valve seal is leaking try taking it off and check the seal

Have you ever felt like an idiot?

Took the balance vis out and sure enough I had left the seal in the old motor.

Thought I'd better check the power vis and you've guessed exactly the same.

All running fine now.

Real walnut interior. Original refurbished Forked Spokes 16” with Michelin Primacy 4 rubber, Pioneer AVH-Z9200DAB double din Wi Fi phone integration. Retrofitted twin front horns. 160 re-map. Revotec fan. Silicone intercooler hoses and ‘O ring’ replacement. Top hose thermostat. New walnut and smokestone steering wheel with cruise upgrade. Brembo Brakes. Ceramic coated rear Exhaust. L/engine mount, Hydramount, Bosch MAF. Focal Access Drivers and Focal Amp.

easily done!! Done it on a power vis; had no idea why it was not working and had the high revs and somewhat erratic idle.

Glad its properly fixed now!
