Honda Accord diesel well worth a look, on the mk7 if over 80k mls make sure timing chain has been done.
Skoda Octavia, Superb better options .

Not sure if its pertinent to the years you're viewing but VW/Audi/Skoda had a DMF problem. I had a two year old fail on me week after purchase and they regused to do it under warranty! Took 3 weeks to get one as such a backlog of fails!

If I go down that road it would be the 2001-2005 model years. Would also try to get the AVF engine code that has the bigger clutch. What year was yours?

Still hoping for a good 75 Tourer, though.

Well, now what....

Looks like I will be at LHR around 09:35 for a few hours. Not long enough for a proper visit unless someone among us actually works there and has time for a tea break.

Edit: Never mind, still in Halifax. Flight got cancelled. Another time.
