I put a Pipercross on my MGF VVC. It gave very little in the way of a performance increase but it did sound fantastic under acceleration.
Not sure if it makes any difference sound-wise on a diesel.

So called performance filters require careful and frequent oiling, failing that your engine is sucking in dirty air. On a diesel such as the 75 a complete waste of time, no performance benefit that is noticeable and there is a risk of fouling the MAF sensor!

I had a K&N cone filter on a 500cc single cylinder bike. The induction noise drowned out the exhaust
