As it may be... but if you mark a payment as a gift, you have no recourse to a payment you have made if a payment is a gift ....... Buyer BEWARE !!

Last time I checked it cost 20p per transaction. I don't know if there is an upper limit on the the transfer for 20p.

As with paying cash, or bank transfers and now paym - you have no buyer protection.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Barclays Pingit and Now PAYM is completely Free and will be so for both Business and Personal Transactions.
PINGIT users will have a button that has appeared on the app to auto register for PAYM

You will be able to pay up to generally 3k per day **. This will be fantastic for business who cannot really afford to pay for BMS/Merchant services facilities.
Especially when face to face transactions involved - Wife used pingit to pay for hair dressers few days ago cos she left purse at home, and was immediate. Great for business such as bootcamps etc etc and anyone starting up who wants to avoid cash - cos that is expensive at the bank.

There was a limit on receiving funds but this is to be removed.

WIll pretty much wipe out the need for paypal for purchases on things like forums here etc, and If you are running as a legit business, you wont get charged, rather than try to get everyone mucking around saying its a gift etc.

Generally transaction time on average is around 6-10 seconds, however this does depend on mobile signal availablility!!

Its fantastic when you go out with the lads for a curry - so easy now - one pays and the rest send the exact funds immediately. SIMPLES

Any other questions. Please ask

I'm guessing there's no buyer protection with any of these services, same as buying with a debit card vs credit card. If they don't get to charge us interest there's nothing in it for them.

The buyer protection is covered by the merchant that takes the payment, not the banks. All the bank does is ensure the Merchant pays the buyer protection, by debiting the merchant when a valid claim is made.

Yes, but only when there's a valid merchant account in place (not a bank account), if this mobile phone thing works without a merchant account and takes money straight into your bank, then you can't have any chargebacks. It would be the same as a bank transfer, once the money's moved that's it.
