Now here's an alternative and fits in with the cars heritage. I believe this is the later pressure high density die cast block, with the additional casting webs could be SAIC manufacture ?

Perhaps MGJohn could verify ?

Quite a bargain price too IMO.

I see they kept the much migned plastic inlet manifold - and gasket?
I have to say though, if you have a std k series, even a turbo, you shouldn't ket 4 years of trouble from it? And if you think transplanting another engine in is anything but hard work think again - it will keep you busy and spending for a long time.
Build a new, or fix the one you have properly - you can do it all without removing the block, provided it hasn't cooked.
