Wish I hadn't looked now, not got any problems with the car and I am really happy with the condition its in. Also happy with what I paid. So should I look into it or just ignore it

I would report it to the DVLA for starters........if they care. They should, it's an offence. Phone them and ask for their advice.

That sounds like a good idea. Wonder if the MOT test stations should be notifying DVLA of discrepancies when they carry out the tests?

The car might have had an accident in 09 and required another mot if it was a cat D or C.an hpi check should show it.milage wierd though sounds like its been clocked.

Whether he gives a warranty or not, something illegal may have taken place & he needs contacting. This just goes to prove you shouldn't part with any money until you have thoroughly checked the vehicle's history.
