Hi Jim, it's the sort of thing we get every day in Grimsby. I thought your reactions were commendable and you kept your cool admirably

Doubt I could have contained myself in that way

Harry

Edit: good old dash cam..you have his number if you decide to take it further :-)

Default Same things going on down here!

Recently drivers around Brighton are showing less and less regard towards other road users. Yesterday we nearly got hit by a car when we were half way around the roundabout, coming up to a lane and the driver just went (we still had right of way, we were exiting on the next lane (he wanted to go straight across!), we slammed on the brakes and narrowly missed him by a couple of feet.

There was also a car on the A27 which knocked it out of the slip road (across the dividing line), went straight across us narrowly missing our front and nearly crashed into a car in the second lane. I don't know if it is the holidays for most people and this is bringing more road users onto the road which wouldn't normally be there? But we have seen increasingly bad driving habits and just plain rude actions by people not giving a dam! I do think it is because there are less enforcement officers on the road and this is leading people to do more dangerous things!

Angry I live two minutes from a supermarket.

Yet it is safer to drive there on the way home from work. Why? Because I have been reversed into when walking there, and very nearly run over- when already on the zebra crossing- by a woman texting and a bloke busy extolling the virtues of his rollerskate like smart car.

Sticking speed cameras up everywhere and doing away with Police patrols to fund them hasn't helped.
Cameras don't catch dangerous driving or bad road manners

I'm also surprised that car manufacturers haven't made indicators an optional extra seeing how these days nobody bothers using them

ROAD MANNERS they went out the window years ago.

I drive hgvs during the day
I ride a powerful motor cycle when I get chance
Also drive me cars.
I'm on the roads quite a lot and see it all.

So I have come to a conclusion that these days it's EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF.

Looks like a beautiful village/town in the video.

I find that Fridays are pretty bad for people dangerous driving. Tailgating was scary the other day. I had a work van sit right up behind me at 80mph!! literally 10 feet away. I moved into left lane as I had been overtaking an HGV that was traveling slow.
Is it really worth it? Is near killing people worth saving a few minutes?

Stay safe guys.

I drive a funeral car and we even get some folks cutting up and into the cortege on funerals! I appreciate that we drive slowly (out of respect and also in the interests of keeping the cortege together) and that we may not "maintain adequate progress" for normal driving but please!!!!

Most people are respectful and courteous but the odd few.................. well!

We drive big black cars with the headlights on. Didn't see me? I don't think so.

It seems more and more people have little or no respect for THEMSELVES these days so no surprise when they don't respect others?
