Needs a good clean (maybe it should be called 'Moss Green'...)

That's brilliant news Paul, well done for saving it and bringing it into the club too

That certainly is a piece of Rover History and I look forward to seeing it the flesh one day. Does it have a mark 2 or Mark 3 sat nav drive? And does it come with the under floor boot stowage tray circular lid?

Rich17865 - that's exactly what I said to myself as I checked the chassis number (although with a few expletives thrown in ).

Reebs, as far as the sat nav goes, I don't know. How do I tell them apart - what's the difference ? It's not working at the moment, so need to do some investigation. And no tray at all in the spare wheel unfortunately

Main thing today was to get it away from the breaker, as they seem to crush them in the blink of an eye. Now need to look into DVLA (which could take some time) and get an outcome before doing much to it.

That's a Mark 2

and this is a Mark 3

Just wanted to know if any tourers were fitted with the earlier Mark 2 from the off?

This is the tray liner I was talking about with the lid, again early cars had them then they deleted the round disc lid

The big cubby box was on my 02 mono tourer, But I assumed it was because it had the DVD Changer, or maybe the HK. That's the only tourer Ive had with both of those, and the only tourer with the big cubby

Great Save btw

Yep, the big cubby box hides the sat nav drive and also the 10 disc DVD Changer for the roof mounted screen in my ZT-T. The Harmon Kardon sub woofer speaker is located in the cubby box on the other side of the boot.

I would get in touch with the previous owner if possible. I tend to do this with all my used cars. You can find out far more than just reading the service history. Definitely one to save. Well done you - good spot.
