I must admit there are times when I wish I DID have cruise control - the aforementioned ankle isn't as supple as it used to be Once you are retired, the ability to go whenever you please with the 'van makes a huge difference. We spent 4 days in the Scottish Borders recently, when all the kids were at school - the site was brilliant - peaceful, quiet, full of like minded wrinklies like me and SWMBO Caravanning and retirement were just meant to go hand in hand. We're off for another 5 days week after next (i.e. AFTER the schools have gone back!) and then 3 weeks in July (BEFORE the schools break up!). I notice in your profile that you're about to retire. From personal experience, (I stopped working (well, for money anyway!) 2 years ago), the biggest problem with retirement is finding time to do all the things you didn't have time to do when you were working Enjoy your hard earned leisure time - lets just hope for some Summer sunshine
