'Man's inhumanity to Man' was a phrase coined by Robert Burns. Never was it more true than in this case.

Let's hope he gets fully 'taken care of' during his 18 months inside.

But it does make you wonder what sort of standards the Army teach these people nowadays.

Unfortunatly it wont be 3 years. On sentancing it is usually halved, so he is looking at 18 months, after 12 months he will be looking to get H.D.C (tag) . As for having a hard time inside, dont bet on it. Perversly a lot of crimes are now regarded with little horror by other prisoners especially the younger elements who show no respect to anything or anybody.
Going with the current overcrowding he will be in open jail inside 8 months and out shortly after claiming he is re-habilitated!!

That appears to be the Sad reality of modern day Justice.

Go to Prison for Five years, out in two for "Good Behaviour" ...... Somewhere someone forgot why they went in there in the first place.......

Good behaviour should happen before, not once caught and serving a Sentence IMHO.

As Raistlin points out...there is a sort of 'code' in prisons...lets hope he gets put with what I would term the 'sisters'.

Ultimately he will be released as a much more efficient criminal....harder, smarter, and deeply bitter...I am sadly begining to believe that if we wish to survive as a decent humane society...that there is only one solution for the every increasing number of thugs and criminals...its been mentioned earlier in this thread.

I would call it solution 'number one'
