Sorted (again)....
Take the seat base out, and remove the belt mounting. Once released it's possible to get the belt at the correct angle to release, gave it a good clean with Mr Sheen and refitted. Works a treat now, must remember to check at MOT Time.

Sorted!!
Thanks for all your support as usual guys.. *-)
It seems that be removing the seat base and then removing the torx bolt (T50 im told), and then holding the belt vertically above the entry reel, the belt naturally recoiled!!! Hoorah! The hardest bit was loosening the bolt (plenty of wd40!!) and actually finding a T50 torx key (a big thanks to the guys at work xx). Had issues getting the leather seat base to connect correctly to the base lugs, but again a great guide in the forum, helped here. http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ead.php?t=9068 Took the car for its MOT and it failed on w/screen wipers and split cv boot. Examiner must have smelt the wd40 on the seatbelt and asked if i had any problems with it!! I told a white lie here (sorry...lol) He spent a lot of time pulling it out, letting it contract, pulling it out... i held my breathe... He did point out that is a fail not an advisory if the belt hadn't have worked. If the mountings are attached to the car as standard, then its testable - he told me! Greeners sorry to hear you had the same problem too...lol Hope to see you all at meet |
