Hi Not much of a shortfall now. Got a donation of £20 from a generous member and I have put in £20 and 2 £5s to collect on Friday night. So only about £15. I was pretty pleased though. I was wondering on Thursday if anyone would appear. It was pretty awful weather here. Handed over the £200 to the Flying Club today and they were very pleased with our weekend. pity weather precluded flying this time....... Chris |

Eureka ! I've found it.
Found the cause of the ominous ticking sound.
I was out in the V6 for the first time since the Perth meet as I drove the diesel home with the caravan, anyway I reversed out of the driveway and !!! No reverse sensors, not even the beep when you put it into reverse so obviously the reverse sensors couldn't cope with the cold weather so now I have to fix them as they are really good to have. The missus had even asked just recently if they could be fitted to her car. BTW the ticking sound started as soon as reverse gear was engaged and remained on until full ignition was switched off. Back to the drawing board. ! JYJ Last edited by Jim Jamieson; 28th March 2013 at 11:02.. Reason: spelling oops! |

Did the ticking sound stop when you disconnected the sensor leads "in" to the Parking ECU? Or when you disconnected power to the Parking ECU?
