I never had any problem with the gps signal.
Is it easy to remove the trim, never thought of putting the gps aerial in there.

Yes it's very easy, the trim just pulls off, its held in with clips, I didn't even have any problem with my 2005 that had air bags in the A post.

What is the risk on injury if the airbag went off with the gps aerial inside?

Mine sits in front of the sun sensor, bit fiddly getting it fed but does not look out of place, will do till I get a sharks fin and run both gps and radio through it.

No risk, it is at the bottom of the A post as it is magnatic it will not move, there is already wires feed along the post which are held in by cable retaining clips.

Can the antenna wire be extended - would that help?

Default OK - A New One!

I been using the Navall Star successfully without issue since I got it (apart from the ipod playing issue), but the other day I had the car in the garage for some work and had the battery disconnected for a few days.

When I put everything back together and got in the car, the Navall booted up OK and started playing my music from the SD card - no problem. However, I then tried the Home button and the Menu buttons - nothing.

I have now found that non of the buttons or dials on the unit are now working. I can do everything I want from the screen, but it does not allow me to change volume etc. or switch to NAV via the buttons. The back lighting on the switches does come on if I put the lights on. I have tried a hard reset - no difference. If I set the steering wheel controls on the screen, it registers the button operations, but will not let me control volume, track etc. when I play the music.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't go wrong with "Weather Live", best weather app on Android IMHO and well worth 56p.
