Good efty. Not great today, mainly due to taking part in a downmarket version of Bonnie Tyler's "Lost In France" yesterday, title was "not a clue where I am in Glasgow!" We went over to see Ging's friend who is just starting chemo for cancer. We had the vaguest instructions how to get there, get a train to Glasgow Central then a number 7 bus . . . . from where . . . . to where. Got there eventually.
The expedition did my ribs no favours whatsoever, fair bit of walking (which has started aggravating it) and carrying a shopping bag (which has always aggravated it). Wasn't in good shape when I got up, still more sore than "normal". We had a Poodle, Milka, Poodles are supposed to be water dogs but that wasn't in his job description, he hated the stuff. We were at a Loch near Stirling, Ging was paddling, carried Milka out and put him in the water, the reaction was hilarious. He immediately swam to the shore next to me then stood and gave Ging the most evil look over his shoulder . . . . one of the funniest things I've ever seen. |

I made us some naughty but nice penne pasta with lots of grated mozzarella & double cream with garlic, onion & strips of smoked bacon with some grilled plaice & garlic toast for tea.

I used to make something similar . . . . when I had an appetite. Cook diced chicken breast and diced ham (unsalted gammon steak) in a frying pan, add peas, cook pasta, mix the lot in a white, slightly cheesy, sauce. Sort of a carbonara on steroids.

Good morning Jeff, good morning everyone. Torrential rains last night and this morning. because we are in the month of the rains. Now we are thinking of going camping but will have to upgrade to a waterproof pop up tent, could be fun. We have 2 tents but one tent is rotten at the seams and we always have 2 tents, one for us and the other for the groceries and cool boxes. When camping in the bush, the theory is the wild animals will first go for the food tent and not us…..so far that theory has worked. The rain filled up the pool, a bonus. Jeff, have a great weekend with Ros and Lady Emma. How was your dad yesterday? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Yummy but very rich. Good on you for treating yourself and for the photo ….thank you. Congratulations Ian and to your good lady in getting to 52 years married, quite an accomplishment. Only 20 years here, perhaps I can come to you for marital advice. I was recently chatting to a friend I trained with and she has been married 4 times and is currently divorced. I hope she finds happiness. Here in Kenya one of the polygamous tribes allows for several wives at the same time, it is expected to support all of them.
