The auction was due to start at 10 am and I arrived at five to ten, only to be told that the auction had started early due to weather conditions! The Aston Martin had been put up first and was sold! I shrugged my shoulders and left, only to be told later that it had been bought by the auctioneers son! Grrrrrrrrrr! Much later, I found that he had wrapped it around a lamp post! Luckily, no-one injured! Kalma!
Thanks Mike.

I'll post a few more photos up of them both tomorrow once edited

P.s. The DB9 will be up for auction soon if you fancy a second chance at Aston ownership

Coincidentally I bought a corned beef and potato pie at Morrisons on Sunday, it is made by local North-East firm Dicksons. It looks similar in size to that in the pic above and it cost £3, which I think was a good price having paid £4 + on a previous occasion for what looks like the same pie in Tesco.

Was a bit chilly in the shade, but it still made me feel so much better in myself.
Good morning Bob

Does that mean you are full weight bearing without crutches and can you do stairs?

Is the electric hospital bed ready to be returned?

Go carefully.

Good morning Jeff

It looks as though the photo shoot was a great success, you must be pleased with the results. New BMW’s are common in Kenya, vintage BMW not and sadly I haven’t seen any Aston Martins here, both nice looking cars.

We have had heavy rains at night and a power cut for 3 days whilst a transformer was replaced.

To save the battery power on new solar power system, we didn’t use the pool pump to power the pool filters. As a result the pool turned green and it’s been a so and so to get it back to clear with the chlorine. I will have another go this morning.

Last year our elderly neighbour sold up and moved into private sheltered accommodation. The new owner has sent us their building plans. A 2 storey box like house with parking for 4 cars and a swimming pool. They will have a separate “his and hers” bathroom and toilet. The new house will be elevated on a mound to overlook us and the forest views.

They will demolish the old house to make way for the new. All the noise and the dust, the intrusion is something we are not looking forward to.

Today is physio for Jessica and myself, nothing remarkable.

What are your plans for the day?

Brilliant! The one I mentioned went for £2200. Yes! I have got the correct number of noughts! It was put about that it had engine problems (it didn't). I had spoken to the driver who had delivered it to the auction. The engine was clean when he delivered it but mysteriously gained a pool of black oil under it and dribbled down the side of the engine block before viewing!!! If the DB9 goes for £2200, I'll have it!!!
The one I looked at was a lot like this one.

New spec !

That's a good price, A tin of corned beef is around that price alone.

Another three hours of my life wasted waiting for BT to do my latest "upgrade"! Appointment originally for Tuesday 8-10am, they "changed" it to Tuesday 8-10 am (via email) ????? Sat till 10-30 am and no show, so phoned them. Wait, "You are in a queue, Your call is important to us" (so if it is, just pick up the phone!). Get through to a menu, choose option, another menu, choose option, wait ................. finally get a chirpy chappie who needs to verify my details and sends a code via text, submit code, put on hold, checking file, put on hold, "Our engineer couldn't complete the work today, so you need to re-book!" Try again next Friday!!! ..................... and I am paying them for this "service"! I've had similar with British Gas too (trying to do a service on my boiler that isn't due until May - smart meter hasn't worked for years). It seems that anything with "British" in the title is going downhill rapidly! Rant over! Have a nice day y'all!
