What a treat Andy. Last time I had a drop of the black stuff was 2 years ago in Dublin AirPort and it was most refreshing. I gather Guinness Zero is great for those who have cannot drink any alcohol.

Afternoon everyone. Rain, then sunshine and more rain.
Apparently there is a bug going round, I have got off lightly. Been ok today, had a few issues in the night but at least it was controlled. Neighbour next door has had both her kids off of school with it all the week. And her Mum hasn’t been well either.

Gate keeper
Hi Phil,
Yes was very lucky she kept hold of the snake after it bit her and there was a research station nearby who supplied the anti venom. She still lost part of her thumb and hand due gangrene. When she grew up she became a wildlife artist and did the illustrations for the Struik book on snakes. She had a pet African python which wasn't tame at all, used to strike out at us, as had run of the house. That ended up in Pretoria snake park when it got too big and unruly. Luckily she is a bird artist now.

My great grandfather was born on a farm in County Mayo, brought up for a few years in a workhouse there, after his father died and was then shipped, on his own, to County Durham, to work as a "hewer" at the coalface, at fourteen! One of my ancestors was one of the Irish kings!

One of my cousins did the family tree thing a few years ago . . . . traced the family back to Robert The Bruce's sister!

I thought that "The Irish Rover" had a V8 in it for years! Good morning all.
