Finally got an mri which revealed the cause, she was due in for surgery today but a course of steroids over the weekend shrunk the tumour by 50%, she was sent home to continue with a course of medication and close monitoring for the next months to come..

A slightly more settled Dad here this morning....

So sorry to read of your daughters health scare.
Glad they eventually found the cause and the treatment is working.
All the best for her continued recovery.

Morning. Bright but cold here. Had thunder and lightning last night! Let the girls out, there was a brilliant flash “what was that?” followed by a long, deep window rattling rumble that lasted several seconds. Only the one but a few minutes later the rain started battering off the window.

Been catching up on house repairs. Pointing, patching driveway cracks and finishing off where I stripped out the conservatory cladding to fix the leak! Had to buy a 5 metre length of plastic cover strip to replace 2 metres (now got some spare !) which came rolled up, so it needed to "relax" before I could use it! (good old plastic memory effect - sometimes wish I was made of plastic and could return to my original form!). Thank goodness for a bit of dry weather and sunshine. Even had time to pressure wash the cars and the driveway (where does all that black dust come from? Tyres, tarmac or soot from exhausts???
Coffee, cake and paracetomol time.

Proper dark dank rainy day it's been here. Freezer turned up & now switched on & working in the garage. I got some lamb chops out of the freezer so Lancashire hotpot on the go & it smells bootiful.

I am never making that mistake again! I take omeprazole every morning, forgot to take my meds yesterday morning, didn’t realise until I went to take my evening meds so didn’t take the omeprazole until nearly 6pm. Boy have I suffered, fearsome acid indigestion kicked in and is only now easing. Not doing that again.

Morning all, It's wet wet wet out there with more rain forecast, I think I'll go & get that blood test done this morning as Missus has got another appointment at Wrightington with the rheumatology people this afternoon.

Nowt worse than acid reflux in the night, that's one med I don't miss taking every day.

Didn't develop into reflux, thankfully. I took the omeprazole as soon as I realised but the acid started building before it had a chance to take effect, took a swig of Ging's Gaviscon (disgusting stuff!!) and that kept it from getting too bad.

Forgot to order mine last time and with all the stress and anxiety lately, my acid reflux is back with a vengeance. Off to collect today!

With me the acid started soon after my list of meds increased, used to be drinking gallons of Gaviscon, hence the omeprazole, stopped the acid stone dead, what a relief. I'd never missed one before and was really taken by surprise at how bad the acid was.
