Cool

Evening everyone.

Not had a good day. New pain in left knee and hip. I hate taking painkillers but today I’ve had no choice. Jackie from HomeFirst has made a note of it and if I’m not feeling any better tomorrow she will contact the district nurse and get me checked out.

Good morning Bob

There will be a reason for the pain you described. In the meantime have you been seen at home by a physiotherapist? You are doing everything right with your pain management in taking the pain medication and being careful not to mix it with alcohol. Do care.

Good morning all

Who checks their tyres before setting off?

Yesterday I checked the 4x4 and discovered the front right was a bit flat so pumped it and set off to the nearest garage, the equivalent of Kwik-Fit.

2 hours later still waiting to have the tyre checked, so I said - this is not on, give me the keys and I will go elsewhere as I know the owner of this garage and I will tell him what is going on!

That did it, they said - it is happening now.

All of a sudden the car tyre was repaired, it had a bolt in it and it was removed.

We carried on with our day and I was successful in finding the door handles needed for the new cupboards and draws.

The new water purifier packed up yesterday with its pump making a knocking noise with the water coming out cloudy and not fit for drinking, so we have arranged for a replacement for Wednesday under warranty. In the meantime it’s back to bottled water.

A hot day yesterday at 32C and tonight it’s too hot to sleep.

My thoughts are with Bob and I hope he begins to feel better soon so that he can make a start on getting back to his old self.

Today will be a day of rest I might do some photo editing as I have been able to take lots of photos of birds and butterflies in the garden during the week.

Not seen the physiotherapist yet, she is due tomorrow at 13.00. I did see the physiotherapist at the hospital but that was just to have the AirBoot fitted.
One of my neighbours is a retired orthopaedic nurse and she has been over to advise what I should be doing exercises way. Plus my postie is an ex-professional footballer, and again he has told me a few basic exercises that I can manage.

Morning, dry but grey and breezy. Not great today, had a restless night and got dodgy guts this morning. Looking for a replacement outside light is on hold.

Having a lousy day Guts not settling at all, wish I hadn’t eaten breakfast but this kicked off after that. It’s not the occasional “revenge of the medication” upset stomach, think my guts have taken offence at something I’ve eaten, all I had last night was a sarnie with roast pork. Doubt I’ll be eating anything tonight.

Evening all,

Been a busy last few days so apologies for my forum absence.

This afternoon Ros, myself and a friend went out on Lady Emma for a cruise on the North Sea for about an hour.

The sea state was moderate with 20-25knot gusts and a 1-2mtr swell. Decided not to stay out any longer as it wasn't that comfortable.

These pictures are from when we were back in to the sheltered waters of the Walton Channel.
