Hi Ian,

How is your younger brother doing? My younger brother is half way through Chemotherapy and had the results yesterday of his PSA and body scan. The PSA is down to 4 and the cancer has not spread or moved from where it was before, in fact the scan showed the cancer had shrivelled. When chemo is completed he will carry on with the hormone injections, as you know this is part of the course, the monthly injections.

The cardiologist has said I am fit to fly but the colonoscopy department at the hospital have said they don’t know when I can have a colonoscopy.

How are you?

Spring rolls aren’t for me Phil. Ging is nightshift tomorrow night (New Year), they all take food in.

Happy New Year’ to Jessica and yourself when it comes.

Morning all, morning Phil. It's not looking good for him I'm afraid, They found another tumour on his spine besides those in his bladder & prostate.

He had scans done a month apart & it had grown a centimetre in that space of time, The surgeon said it's only a 25% success rate for him now if he goes through with the surgery & will more than likely be a paraplegic because of where this tumour is.
They were concerned about his huge hernia too as his stomach muscles are now around his sides & closing it would be difficult without some sort of pig skin graft.

He's still got his mobility & declined the surgery & will let things take it's course. We're all stunned to say the least.

Hi Ian,

Sorry to read about your brother’s declining health .

I hope his pain management is keeping him as well as can be.
Thoughts with him and all your family at this time .

Thank you Ian,

The kindest thing you can do is to support his decision not to have surgery and to stand by him. Devastating news yourself and the family, what a brave man.

Ian, as a child in the 50’s and early 60’s I remember riding on the railways in the days of steam with happy memories. To work on the railways I imagine you had to be tough to work outdoors in all weathers. I know a couple of members who have built elaborate trains sets, giving them enormous pleasure.

Have a fun evening enjoying Look at Life.
