Good morning all, good morning Jeff

A stressful time for Ros and yourself having a new bathroom put in and your Nans funeral. Hopefully everything will go off okay and your Nan will have a great send off, keep us posted.

A horrible session in the dentist chair yesterday removing the old bridge on the lower arch, it had been jammed in below the gum line.

To release it the dentist had to do lots of drilling through metal and cut the gum line away all along the lower front gum to access the old bridge. Then there was the hammer and a mini crowbar to lever it off, lots of bashing, gave me a headache.

A temporary bridge of crowns is now in place whilst the lab makes a new one.

Being on blood thinners there was lots of blood, fortunately the bleeding eventually stopped and there was no panic, so today I will be careful with the brushing. Oh boy was the mouth sore last night and again this morning.

Thank goodness I still have strong painkillers, left over from my op, but the need to take them should be lessen in the next 48 hours or so.

Another very hot day here, 29-30C so I can’t complain too much.

Had an email last night from HMRC advising my tax code is going to change 2023/24. It’s going to about more tax deducted from the UK pension. All the pensioners will be in the same boat, rob Peter to pay Paul. It is what it is.

I hear the UK is in for a cold snap, wrap up well, keep warm. Look out for the elderly and the ones you love.

Do take care

Morning Phil, morning all.

That dentist visit sounds like something out of a horror movie Phil

Hope the pain and discomfort you have endured will be worth it in the end with a nice smile and a good bite

Looking forward to the bathroom getting done, Darren (our builder) is such a perfectionist and so tidy in his work.

One of my cousins who I haven't seen in nearly 40 years is coming to the funeral.
I was about 14 and she was about 8 or 9.

At the very least it will be interesting to find out her life story after all those years.

Today will be mainly coffee and biscuit making duties for me. Not back at work till Thursday.

Good morning Phil, Jeff and all.

I can only agree with Jeff about your dentist visit, Phil. Hope all goes well.

And good luck with the bathroom, Jeff. Sounds like you're in excellent hands.

Not sure about the mental image I have of Ian in his onesie. .

Lovely catch up with Chris & Pam yesterday (Chris65). Plenty of tea and biscuits and Quizzie was very well looked after .

Off out walking with the tremendous trio of Quizzie, Bertie & Bridget soon. Obviously it's just an excuse to visit the coffee shop afterwards. .

Oh, and found out/met my new manager at work yesterday evening. Didn't even know that my old one was leaving. Comms eh .

Take care everyone.

Cool

Morning everyone from sunny Cornwall.

Been out as far as the bins this morning, and it was a chilly walk.
