Morning. Need to go out later, for a few odds and ends, can't forget a valentine's card as well! Gardening yesterday, cutting back the couple of buddleia bushes and as usual drew blood, speared the back of my hand on a newly cut stalk! I can't do anything in the garden without having to come in for a sticking plaster at some point

Good morning all and welcome, I wonder what today will bring?

Yesterday in Nairobi was hot at 35C, thank goodness the A/C in the car was working and cooling fans indoors. Drought has turned the lawn a shade of yellow and the forest is very dry. I leave water out at night for the birds and the animals.

What is everyone up to?

As you know I have had toothache for more than a month. On Thursday the dentist is starting work with root canal treatments. I am not really looking forward to it, but it’s a means to an end. Because of my cardiac history I will have to go onto antibiotics and stop the anticoagulants before the broken teeth are extracted. He said in order to pull the broken teeth out, the surrounding gum will have to be cut and widened to give the pliers a better grip, what oh! his words.
