We finally got the death certificate for Nan and a date set for the funeral today.

It will be on the 8th March at our local Crematorium with a small family gathering in attendance for the cremation and the wake at the pub nearby.

Yeah at least I know how long it will last for...... hopefully.

This afternoon a car mechanic is visiting to check the A/C belt as it makes a squeaky noise when the A/C is turned on, so I will ask him to repair the door seal as well as sorting out the A/C.

I find some of the dentists here are quite unscrupulous and greedy. One dentist I visited quoted me 16,000 USD but if I paid in cash, he would do the work for 14,000. I was disappointed with him and he was such a charmer. I walked out and never went back.

I told the dentist at Jalaram, how I am a retired pensioner, ex-NHS not rich and looking for great price. Hopefully he will be kind, I think he will be okay as dishonesty and theft in his culture is frowned upon and part of his work involves helping those in the community and in hospital who are in poverty and who are poor.

At your Nan’s funeral, will you be expected to say a few words in tribute or will the celebrant do it.

Funerals can be so emotional and difficult to get through as you know. We will be thinking of you on the 8th March.
Hi Phil,

Hope all goes well for Jessica and they don't keep you waiting for long in the hot and sticky car park.

Fingers crossed for good dentistry without an eye popping bill to follow!

There will only be My Mum, her Husband, my two Aunt & Uncles, My Brother & Sis in Law and Ros & myself at the funeral.

Nan only moved to Clacton in 2014 and all her friends back where she used to live have now sadly passed or are to old to travel.

I don't like public speaking much but my Brother will do that on behalf of Mum and Me.
He being a musician and also into AmDram make him far more confident in those situations. I will think of some words from Ros and Myself that he can work into his eulogy

Good luck Ian.

Hopefully things will be soon improving for you and you will be able to eat and drink (in moderation of course) without having any repercussions...

And then I'll hold you in my dreams
