Hi Steve

Thank you for explaining everything.

Morning all.

A bit of a nothing sort of morning. Cloudy but reasonably light and actually dry . And supposed to stay that way .

I was wrong yesterday, the water level has done down, not up. Not by much but down nevertheless. Still can't get across the bridge in the earlier photo and very nearly lost my wellies in one particularly soggy patch .

Take care everyone.

Due to the weight, the single shipment that had been delivered a couple of weeks earlier, took ten collections to recover. The water ran out of the back of the lorry when going up, or parking on hills! The pieces were washed and dried at a specialist firm in Leeds and then sold on again!

I can imagine, I saw the fire brigade at our local cotton mills on a regular basis when I was a kid due to smouldering fires. We had seven of these monster mills on our doorstep when I was growing up. You could hear the hum from the machinery going 24/7, the silence was deafening when they all closed down in the 70's.
There's only two left now, 'E' mill & Victoria mill.

Cool

Morning everyone. It has rained again.

Big day for Banana as she is off to have her headlining replaced and the pillar covers to also be recovered, all going to be done in Black brushed nylon. A local chap does it on a full time basis. Not cheap but it will be a grand job as I have seen some of his work.

Banana should be back with either late Tuesday or Wednesday morning.

Morning all.

Cold and misty here. Due to be dry and hit a heady 11 degrees a bit later on.

Spent a fair amount of time sorting my MP3's on the 64GB drive I have in the car. It's quite astonishing/disturbing/weird how the info for the same track and the same artist differs. Might explain why, when I'm looking for stuff for our journey up North, some things I can't find and others come up with 3 or 4 alternatives for the same track. Anyway pretty much all sorted now.

Take care everyone.
