I suspect I may have spoken too soon, seems to have had a delayed laxative effect. For two days I was on light food (toast etc) and taking the dye prep. Last night I had some of the pork adobo and rice . . . . bad move, think I should have stuck with the light food until the stuff was out of my system. I've used all the loperamide I had, not sure if my guts have settled enough to go out and get more

Trouble is Phil, I don't take loperamide because I want to, I'm on metformin, twice a day and a major side effect of metformin can be diarrhoea, with me it is. I've been tried on various versions of metformin, currently on huge slow release horse pills but they all have the same effect on me. Its a trade off, the metformin controls my sugar levels to the point that I rarely check them now, said before I could paint the reading on the meter. I'm happy to take loperamide to be able to take metformin.

Dreich day here, cool and overcast. Not having anything substantial to eat. My guts have kinda settled and don’t want to give them any reason to kick off again. They seem to be happy with toast and cheese so I’ll stick with that.

Thought you were going to say she bought the mill
Bit of a downer tonight, Scottish news led with the report that Doddie Weir is gone, MND got the better of him. My father knew him. |

I spent many hours delivering cloth "pieces" to and from similar mills when I had a transport business. Those "pieces" were huge rolls of cloth, which got even heavier when wet. One job was recovering a load of "pieces" that had been in a building fire. The brigade had been damping down for days and we had to recover the shipment. Due to the weight, the single shipment that had been delivered a couple of weeks earlier, took ten collections to recover. The water ran out of the back of the lorry when going up, or parking on hills! The pieces were washed and dried at a specialist firm in Leeds and then sold on again!
