Sunny and windy here today. Lovely in the conservatory, in the sun and out of the wind! Gum healing well with no painkillers yesterday. Strangely though, it's giving me the odd niggle every now and then, so possibly just part of the healing process after the extraction (never had one before!).

Suzy was settled in the new bed tonight when Maya decided to join her by lying on top of her. You can tell by the way Suzy is looking at Maya she's saying gerroff you big lump, there isn't enough room.

Morning Julien and Dawn,

Thank you for your concerns and we send our love and good wishes to you both. We are home now and I am glad to be out of hospital and away from hospital food and the nurses!

I am certainly going to pace myself and not overdo it. I am prescribed Morphine liquid 4 times a day for pain relief but have managed to reduce it twice daily.

I was also prescribed Paracetamol with Codeine but have been taking Paracetamol without anything Codeine in it. The downside of these opiates is constipation Hoping this improvement continues and I don’t overdo it.

Cool

Morning everyone.

Lovely blue sky this morning.

Off to collect Zed the Ted from the sorting office this morning. I was out yesterday when Postman Pat tried delivering him.

Didn't do too well with the flow test & questionnaire, I Scored 31 out of 35, 35 being the worst, they said my urinary habits are severely compromised Could only manage 60 mls despite drinking two pints of water & two cuppas prior to going They said a minimum of 150mls is wanted for a true test so they sent me back to the waiting room & told me to drink more liquids & come back in 40 minutes Still only managed another 60 mls & the bladder scan showed a 50% full bladder.

Hi Ian, my last flow test was in March and like yourself I didn’t do very well. I think it’s a stressful test, having to stand and pass water, you can’t sit down and your not allowed to touch the measuring funnel during the test. The urologist wanted to put a camera into the bladder and widen the neck to improve the flow. Instead of that, I went for Dustasteride capsule which I take once a day. Having been on it for 7 months the flow is much stronger.

Good luck with the urologist, explore all treatment choices, whatever gives you relief and works.
