offered him £20 which he wont take, he says he was told by Rover they can be reprogrammed, and hes had a lot of interest in the ecu, so its not an option for us as he probably wants a lot of money for it unfortunately, so back to square one

not having much luck with local scrap yards only one with a 75 diesel and he wants £50+vat ouch only want two capacitors out of it

I wonder if it may be worth trying a different manufacturers bosch diesel ecu for parts, I know it would be very hit and miss and you wouldn't know whats inside until you opened it up but some of them are not even hitting reserve of a pound on ebay! Failing that, how about giving the ecu doctor a try?

These things will be in other manufacturers ECUs, but only common rail ones. BMW and Land Rover have versions of the engine. Peugot / Citroen seem to use something similiar. All the ECUs I looked at yesterday were none common rail ones so wouldn't have these in. |

duncan one fing i have noticed the numbers are different on each capacitor the numbers read as if the ecu was in the car 63466 and ends in n0 the top one 66295 nd ???????
