The keyring has to go with the original type key with the Rover logo on the button.

To clear things up
Tina goes on and on and on about fuel in the ZT so when asked In that way
( you all know what way ) I said no it should get us home knowing I would have to put fuel in first thing in the morning
It said 24 miles till empty when she ran out 1/4 mile to home

On the upside Tina won't be moaning about fuel so much now
