I've had mine a few years now & wouldn't dream of going into town in the car, The bus stop is at the bottom of the road & they run every ten minutes, the train station is a couple of minutes further & they run every half hour. Mind you GMTE charges us £10/year if you want to use the trams. cheap as chips though.

The bus stop is less than a minute's walk on the main road, like you about every ten mins. Nearest train station is a good bit away so if we're going anywhere we get a bus into Edinburgh, Waverley station is about a five minute walk from the bus stop. Don't pay for rail travel, neither does Ging, doesn't mean we hide in the toilet! I did so long in the rail industry we retain the travel privileges for life. Card isn't valid on Edinburgh trams unless its issued by Edinburgh council, never been on a tram, not much use to us anyway, runs from the east end of Princes Street to the airport, 40 minutes on a bus to get to this end of the system! The old road outside the cottages there's cobbles and tram lines under the tarmac!

Ah! The bus pass. When I lived back in England I used it so much. Free on the tube and could travel on the mainline with in a certain area.
Down here it’s just the buses. Got my bus journey planned. 3 buses and I can get to Padstow. Not had the best of days, blooming arthritis has kicked in big time.

Morning all.
Dull, grey and dismal here. Starling baby feeding has stripped all the food from the feeders so it's time to make up a new batch. Mind you it stopped the grey squirrel from having its breakfast Hope all goes well for everyone today whatever you're doing. |

Nothing in particular day here, temp dropped and clouded over earlier, looks like it could rain at any time. Ging is away down to see friends in the Lakes, first time for months. Supposed to be back tomorrow but Monday is more likely.
