Could be. Isn't the 216 the same body?
It will need new sills. None available for Honda, only for Rover 213/216. I think they should fit, surely there wasn't any alterations bodywise?

BTW, did they build the 213/216 in Longbridge or was it built by Honda? And did they ever build "real" Hondas in the Austin/Rover factories?

The Honda Concerto was built at Longbridge. They even have Rover chassis numbers.. SAHH********** from memory. I know the chassis plates are quite amusing..
Honda motor company
**************
Rover Group LTD.

The Rover 213 was a Honda engined Rover, the 216 was a Rover engined Rover.
I think the 213/216 was built by Rover.

I'm a bit stuck with the Honda now. The left hand front brake was sticking so I dismantled it and planned to put new seals in. Only I can't get hold of the correct seals! Apparently there were three different front disc brake calipers used at the same time (Tokico, Nissin and Sumitomo), all with the same caliper bore (51 mm) but with different means of fastening the dust boot.
So in the worst case I will have to try to get a new caliper - might as well renew the other one too then.

Bought a new caliper. Should have it by tomorrow. €xpensive!
I also need the RH parking brake cable. Was quoted a whopping € 76 for the cable and politely declined the offer. Went home for a little google-ing and found it for €5! Hope to have it too by tomorrow. Then maybe I could try to get it MOT'd.

Welcome to my Honda-monologue!
Today I have installed the new LH front caliper and test driven the car. Front brakes OK. Rear brakes sticking like crazy, all of a sudden. Still hoping to get the car tested next week.

Don´t think I will bother in the future. Just a load of drivel about equality of the masses and the plight of the nation
