Woodforde's Brewery is attached to a Pub called the Fur & Feather which is about 5 miles from where that photo was taken. Their beers (main range) are all named after things associated with the Norfolk Broads....Wherry being one of the traditional sailing barges that used to ply their trade transporting goods on the Norfolk Broads https://www.woodfordes.com

Those craft beers look good Much better than the mass produced stuff. I recognised the name Wherry, 'The Wherry line' from the TSW (Train Sim World) game is still on my list of East Anglia routes to buy, I bought the locomotive class that runs on the Wherry line (cant remember offhand which class at the moment ) but unbeknown to me you have to buy the Wherry line route as well, Tight beggers down there I tell yer .

You may find this interesting as well Ian.
This is me taking our boat under the two Great Yarmouth bridges that lead out to Breydon water or the North Sea depending on where you wish to go. The first bridge is the Acle road bridge and the second(the red one) is what used to be the railway bridge which is alongside Great Yarmouth Railway Station. The trains terminate at that station and no longer go any further so this bridge is now just used as a foot bridge. The twit on the front of the boat is my brother. There is very little clearance even at low water, so I have my brother up front just to make sure that I'm not going to knock the radar and navigation mast off If the bridge knocks his head off I know not to go further

Yes you're right, It was the class 37 & I bought a newer class 68 which ran on the Wherry route too. I'll get around to getting sooner rather than later. The scenery & stations on the game in the virtual world are identical to real life LOL Brothers are expendable, boats and equipment are not. Blimey! you would have to know the tide times off by heart to be safe going out & returning under those bridges. Beef burgers & jacket spud for tea with some token salad as the other two gannets scoffed most of it. No barmcakes left so I cut some thick wholemeal sourdough slices from the loaf. Chorley cakes for pudding

That grub looks good enough to eat Ian
Our air draft on Lady Emma is 10’ 6” with the navigation mast down. With everything up we need 13” clearance . Realistically we can only get under the Yarmouth bridges on Spring tides at low water. Neap tides are very touch and go that we will clear the bridges. As it is two hours-plus cruising at 5mph from Acle to Great Yarmouth, (yep, it’s about 10 miles) it’s a long way to find out you have to turn back doh!!! I check tide tables and weather charts well In advance of any longer cruises. Passage planning as best you can. Good seamanship so they tell me

Good afternoon from bloomin’ hot Saltash. The mercury hit 28.5 this afternoon.
Got the grass cutting done early this morning. Then a wee trip up to the garden centre, and spent a few quid.
