LOL I couldn't see the metal stand as one of the geese was blocking it. Plans for today are not much, I'm just cooking a big batch of ham soup for next weeks meals but besides that nowt. It's miserable & raining. The 'Not rights' were out in the early hours again setting fireworks off from 2:20am-3:00am We normally get this about a week after bonfire night but never so long after!!

To paraphrase the host of the Generation Game - "what a grey day". It's cold, wet, dark, cloudy and misty - a real 'stay at home' type of day.
I'm due out at around 7.00pm tonight for a game or two of snooker and some apple juice - but apart from that, I doubt I'll cross the threshold. Whilst surfing around the TV channels yesterday afternoon, I came across an episode of Chasing Classic Cars with Wayne Carini. He'd just bought a late 90s Volvo 960 - an unusual choice for a guy who is into 'classic cars'. Turns out that the car was built to a specification dictated by Paul Newman (yes, the film star one!). Under the 'hood' is a 5 litre V8 Ford engine, topped off with a Kenne Bell supercharger, running at approx. 380 bhp. Is that where the idea for the MGR ZTT 400 came from maybe

What a waste of a day! Grey, cold, wet, so dark considered putting a light on several times. Ended up adjusting three doggy coats we had lying around to fit the girls, removing original press studs and sewing on new repositioned ones. One of them bit back though, had to use a drill to remove the original studs, trying to hold a stud with a pair pf pliers to stop it just spinning, pliers slipped and rapidly brought up a cracking blood blister on my thumb. Decided to puncture it, bad idea, hurts even more now!

Evening all, miserable wet weather today, Ham soup with crusty bread & dumplings for tea which was good if I say so meself.
I started to watch a film 'Portals' this afternoon but only got halfway through when I called it a day,The trailer looked good but I think they only showed the good bits, the rest of it was silly zombie type stuff. I've now got a snifter of whisky & water in hand to ward off the cold and watching news & goings on of yesteryear on the British Pathe channel

It was dry here from midday so spent the afternoon clearing out the shed, nearly killed me throwing away boxes of old stock Austin rover parts 😱
At least I can now walk in there, and the 75 parts are now in order.. just the garage to do now!

End of my thumb is now as hot as hell and can hardly grip anything with it . . . . should have left the blood blister to get on with it rather than pierce it |

Morning everyone.
Grey and overcast, plus it’s been raining. But has turned very mild.
